A white glass panel that heats the room — and tells you what it cost

The white Premium Infrared Glass Heater 500 W is the same panel as our black 500 W model, in a glass that brightens a bedroom, nursery or home office instead of standing out in it. It is 11 mm thick, hangs like a picture and reports its consumption to the GPO Home app every hour — so you see what the heating cost, not just what the label says.

The Premium Infrared Glass Heater 500 W is a 550 × 550 mm tempered-glass panel, 11 mm thick, that warms the walls, the floor and the people in front of it rather than only the air. It has a room thermostat, a weekly schedule, Nord Pool price automation and consumption statistics in the free GPO Home app.

Measured, not estimated. Our panels report their consumption every hour. In the 2025/26 season a panel of the 670 W class, as the only heat source in a correctly sized room, used about 1 100 kWh from October to April — roughly €255 at Estonian household prices (23.2 c/kWh incl. VAT). As supplementary heat in a room that already has heating: about €80 for the season. A 500 W panel in a correspondingly smaller room behaves the same way: the room sets the energy, the thermostat sets the timing.

How it works

1. Mount it on the wall with the bracket in the box — four screws, about 10 minutes. No electrician: it plugs into an ordinary socket.
2. Connect it in the GPO Home app (Wi-Fi or Bluetooth) and set the temperature you want in the room.
3. Set a weekly schedule, or switch on Nord Pool mode and let the panel prefer the cheapest hours of the day.

Will 500 W be enough for my room?

This is the question that decides whether you will be happy with the panel, so here is the practical answer.

• 5–7 m² as the only heat source — a small bedroom, home office, hallway or a well-insulated room with one window.
• 10–17 m² as supplementary heat — the room already has central heating and the panel adds warmth where you sit or work.
• Larger room or an older building? Choose the 670 W glass panel, or pair the two: 670 W + 500 W on two walls gives 1 170 W, even warmth and roughly twice the warm-up speed. An undersized panel runs longer, uses more electricity and still leaves the room cool.

FAQ

❓ How much will it add to my electricity bill?
Only the room decides that: every electric heater delivers the same kWh for the same room at the same temperature. Our 670 W class measured about €255 for a whole season as the only heat source and about €80 as supplementary heat (Estonian prices, 2025/26). A weekly schedule — heating only when someone is in the room — was the single biggest saving in our data, around a third of consumption.

❓ Do I need an electrician?
No. Four screws for the wall bracket, then plug it into an ordinary socket. At 10 kg the panel needs a solid fixing; any standard wall anchor for that weight will do.

❓ Does it work if the internet goes down?
Yes. The schedule and the target temperature are stored in the panel; it keeps heating and syncs again when the connection returns. Bluetooth control works without internet.

❓ Is it safe for children and pets?
Yes. The heating element is fully insulated and the surface temperature is limited by the thermostat; the glass does not scorch dust and does not dry the air.

❓ Can I use it in a bathroom?
Yes, outside the direct splash zone. For bathrooms we also make glass towel dryers that heat the room and dry towels at the same time.

❓ What if 500 W is not enough for my room?
Then the room loses more heat on cold days than one panel can replace. Add a second panel on another wall, or exchange it for the 670 W model — within 14 days you can also simply return it.

❓ Which languages do the app and support work in?
The app is in Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Finnish, Russian and English. Support answers in Estonian, Russian and English.
